Job summary

Fox C-6 School District in Arnold, Missouri, invites applications for an Assistant Coach position for softball at Fox High. This is a one-year, stipend-based role starting immediately, reporting to the Building Principal, Athletic Director and Head Coach.

Qualifications

• Understanding of sport-specific rules and strategies, with the ability to plan and deliver effective practices.
• Motivate, mentor, and model positive behavior promoting teamwork, discipline, and character.
• Effective communication with students, parents, staff, and administration.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; sound decision-making in dynamic situations.
• Ability to supervise student-athletes and uphold district policies and MSHSAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Instruct student-athletes in sport-specific skills, strategies, and physical conditioning.
• Promote character development, leadership, teamwork, and respect.
• Plan, organize, and conduct structured practices throughout the season.
• Develop game strategies and supervise athletes during contests.
• Coordinate scheduling of games, transportation, and facilities with the Athletic Director.
• Supervise athletes before, during, and after practices and competitions.
• Ensure compliance with all district policies and Missouri State High School Activities Association rules and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, eligibility, physicals, and insurance documentation.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, administration, and staff.
• Attend required meetings, clinics, and professional development sessions.
• Ensure the safety and proper supervision of all student-athletes.
