Job summary

Jefferson Parish Schools Bonnabel High in Kenner, Louisiana, is seeking an Assistant Coach for Boys Soccer with responsibilities including assisting the head coach in developing and organizing the soccer program and ensuring adherence to LHSAA rules and JPPSS policies.

The role requires after-school work hours, occasional weekend/holiday duties, and leadership to student athletes, with emphasis on safety, records, and communications with staff, parents and media as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate, CECP completion and/or current LHSAA requirements.
• CDL Class B or higher with P and S endorsements and no air brake restrictions.
• Meet all requirements of the Louisiana Department of Education school bus driver component.
• Employment with the Jefferson Parish Public School System as a teacher and/or administrator. Must meet the requirements in Article 3.3 (Faculty Coaches) of the LHSAA handbook.
• Demonstrated expertise, knowledge and competency in basic soccer fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in development and organization of the soccer program.
• Adhere to LHSAA, JPPSS and LHSAA rules and regulations for soccer.
• Work after school hours; weekends and holidays as needed to prepare the team.
• Provide supervision and leadership to student athletes and staff.
