Job summary

Lawton Public Schools is seeking a part-time, temporary coaching staff member to lead varsity and support the junior varsity program. Responsibilities include equipment management, rule compliance, and reporting duties to ensure program integrity for student athletes.

The role involves coordination with students, parents, and community members, requires basic coaching experience, and may require completing requisitions and supervising health checks. Openings: 1.

Qualifications

• Oklahoma Teaching Certification Preferred (not Required).
• Experience in coaching or athletic program administration.

Responsibilities

• Coach varsity and coordinate JV program with school, athletes, parents, and community.
• Check equipment in/out, maintain inventory, clean and store equipment.
• Know sport rules; attend rule meetings.
• Prepare local and state reports: eligibility, transportation, financial, end-of-year reports.
• Complete requisitions for supplies and services.
• Supervise the physical examinations for each athlete.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

• Be responsible for checking equipment in and out, keeping a correct inventory, cleaning, and storing of equipment.


• Be knowledgeable about the rules and regulations that govern the sport and attend rule meetings.


• Responsible for local and state reports to include:


• a. Eligibility reports


• b. Transportation requests


• c. Official reports and financial reports


• d. Semester and end-of-year reports


• Complete requisitions for supplies and services.


• Supervise the physical examinations for each athlete.


• Other duties as may be assigned.
