Assistant Site Supervisor/Facilities Attendant (VA Rest Area) in Manassas, VA (Safety Rest Area) at PRWT Services

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Site Supervisor, responsible for the supervision of all site personnel and assistance with daily cleaning and maintenance of rest area facilities and grounds.

Shift needs at the facility will include a mix of both weekday and weekend hours.

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supervises, manages, and directs Rest Area Attendants, Lead Attendants, and sub-contractors under the general guidance of Site Supervisor/Area Manager primarily when the Site Supervisor is not on site, unavailable or as directed.
  2. Assists in the training of Site Staff.
  3. Acts as Supervisor in the absence of the Site Supervisor or as directed by management. Is scheduled as Site Supervisor on off shifts or weekends.
  4. Assists with creating and maintaining employee work schedules.
  5. Is secondary emergency site contact.
  6. As Assistant Site Supervisor:
    1. Actively looks to improve their site and works with their staff to coach them into performing at their best.
    2. Performs the essential duties and responsibilities of Attendant or Supervisor while performing each role.
    3. Proactively seeks assistance from Site Supervisor when needed.
    4. Performs regular inspections of rest rooms and common areas for sanitation, cleanliness, order, malfunctioning equipment and safety.
    5. Cleans and maintains rest room buildings (interior and exterior) and all areas of the grounds to include picnic areas, parking lots, pet rest areas, etc.
    6. Cleaning includes but is not limited to activities such as wiping, mopping, sweeping, sanitizing, vacuuming, dusting, litter removal, and trash cleanup.
    7. Performs minor maintenance of facilities such as changing light bulbs or filters, etc.
    8. Identifies areas within the facility and grounds that need maintenance, repair, or replacement and works to correct any issues.
    9. Greets customers and assists them with any questions or concerns.
    10. Informs Site Supervisor of any hazardous environments and assists in correcting any issues.
    11. Creates a teamwork environment where mutual collaboration and idea sharing and problem solving from every level is encouraged.
    12. Ensures a safe working environment is established and maintained.
    13. Creates, opens and updates work orders with (Insight) as needed.
    14. Completes all required documentation and administrative tasks as needed on a daily basis i.e., minor repair logs, PM logs, etc.
    15. Understands and is able to navigate basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  7. Promotes a culture of safety to reduce and/or eliminate accidents and injuries.
  8. Promotes a positive working environment where teamwork is the basis of all work performed.
  9. Performs job in a professional manner with a strong work ethic in an effort to “lead by example.”
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable OSHA standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  2. Ability to lead, manage and direct employees.
  3. Must be computer literate (i.e. Microsoft Office).
  4. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the maintenance and/or repair of buildings or other structures.
  5. Ability to multi-task and complete assigned duties efficiently.
  6. Professional appearance and manner.
  7. Must be able to manage a variety of personality types without exhibiting stress. Managing through intimidation, foul language, or otherwise creating a hostile work environment will not be tolerated.
