Job summary

Gray Construction in Nashville is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Safety Manager to join our team and uphold high safety standards on industrial construction sites. You will enforce safety compliance, manage daily safety activities, and help sustain a safe, compliant project environment.

This role requires OSHA 30, a related degree or equivalent experience, and strong communication. You’ll support the Site Manager, lead safety meetings, and drive our safety program across industrial

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years of related experience.
• OSHA 30 Hour card is required.
• Experience in an industrial construction environment preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs.
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• Energetic, self-motivated, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the use of safety equipment/clothing as required by OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Reinforce that team members on the project site are in compliance with safety requirements.
• Ensure that appropriate safety records are maintained.
• Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat, safe and orderly fashion.
• Investigate cause of an incident and complete reports as required.
• Assist Site Manager in administrative counseling to team members and subcontractors who are in non-compliance with safety requirements.
• Hold safety meetings/jobsite review as part of coordination meetings.
• Responsible for conducting daily safety meetings.
• Responsible for conducting orientation and jobsite specific training.
• Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site.
• Other duties may be assigned.
