Job summary

Adecco in Austin and surrounding areas is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager across Post-Retail Outlet, Recycling, Dock, and Operations. The role oversees daily workflows, safety, and efficiency to help meet productivity and service goals.

You will supervise hourly team members, ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies, manage budgets, and foster a safe, clean, and collaborative work environment in a fast-paced facility.

Assistant Site Manager – Austin & Surrounding Areas

Salary: $42K - $56K DOE

Position Summary

The Assistant Site Manager supports the Site Manager in overseeing all Post-Retail Outlet, Recycling, Dock, and Operational activities within the assigned facility. This role is responsible for supervising team members, supporting daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards, and helping achieve organizational goals related to productivity, customer service, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
  • Assist in the management of all outlet, recycling, dock, and warehouse operations.
  • Support the oversight of equipment maintenance, repairs, safety inspections, and operational readiness.
  • Monitor daily workflows and ensure efficient execution of operational processes.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and professional work environment throughout the facility.
Team Leadership & Employee Management
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, coach, and evaluate team members.
  • Address performance issues and administer corrective actions in accordance with company policies and Human Resources guidelines.
  • Support employee engagement and professional development initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to team members while modeling company values and expected behaviors.
  • Foster positive working relationships across departments and encourage collaboration throughout the organization.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain adherence to OSHA standards and workplace safety requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Business Management
  • Assist in managing departmental budgets and operational expenses.
  • Monitor monthly revenue and expenditures to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Recommend and implement operational adjustments to improve performance and achieve budget targets.
Customer & Community Relations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization professionally in meetings with other departments, agencies, and community partners as needed.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of integrity and ethical decision-making in all business practices.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Post-Retail team members within the assigned facility.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, recycling, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Prior experience supervising 50 or more employees.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, solve problems, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge and application of servant leadership principles.
  • Understanding of workforce diversity, equity, inclusion, and the impact of marginalization on individuals and communities served.
  • Proven ability to foster inclusive teams and promote diverse perspectives.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Texas driver's license required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk and computer.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Frequent walking, standing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and communicating with others.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage moderate levels of workplace stress.
  • Must possess close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay Details: $42,000.00 to $56,000.00 per year
