Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assistant Site Director will oversee the coordination of social services at the 315 West 94th Street Master Lease Program. The Assistant Site Director works with the Site Director to provide guidance to staff and enhance services.

The Assistant Site Director will:

  • Actively coordinate day-to-day on-site services for tenants and ensure all service provision is representative of RiseBoro’s mission and in line with funder requirements.
  • In collaboration with the Site Director, handle referrals for tenant placement, review all documentation, schedule and conduct viewings for prospective tenants.
  • Conduct case conferences with direct reports and Site Director to ensure tenant and programmatic successes; support direct care staff with difficult cases.
  • Partake in supervision with direct reports to ensure appropriate delivery of services, assess staff performance, and provide support for job improvement.
  • Communicate with building management staff on tenant issues and encourage and maintain collaboration between departments.
  • Conduct periodic spot checks of program staff case notes, running reports on AWARDS, and reporting areas of concern to the Site Director.
  • Provide conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and crisis de-escalation, as need arises.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and assist staff in the creation of goals for improved program implementation.
  • Approve and submit accurate timecards for all direct reports.
  • Outreach in the community to maintain current and establish new relationships and partnerships; utilize tenant assessments to determine pertinent partnerships that support tenant goals.
  • Work with Site Director to complete reports for submission to Director of Supportive Services for review.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added as the position evolves.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate Degree in social work or related human services field strongly preferred with at least two years of relevant social services experience, particularly serving the homeless population OR

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, or related human services field required with minimum of three-five years of relevant social service experience, particularly serving the homeless and previously homeless population

  • At least two years of supervisory experience required
