Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking an energetic after-school assistant to help plan programming, supervise a group of school-age children at Evergreen Elementary, and support daily center operations.

Applicant must be 18+, hold a CDA or related degree (or meet DSS licensing requirements), have a valid driver's license, and complete CPR/AED, First Aid, and MAT within 90 days of employment. This is a part-time, on-site role focused on safety, engagement, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Minimum age 18.
• CPR/AED Certification within 90 days of employment.
• First Aid Certification within 90 days of employment.
• Medication Administration Training (MAT) within 90 days of employment.

Job description

The Greater Richmond YMCA is looking for a positive role model to help plan programming, assist with overseeing the center and supervise children in our after-school child care program at Evergreen Elementary. Pay range for this position is $17-$18 per hour.

DUTIES

Responsibilities include sight and sound supervision of a group of school age children, along with day-to-day operations of a school-age child care center (snack purchasing, lesson planning, and parent engagement).

Strong Communication, Organizational, And Interpersonal Skills Are Required.

A valid driver's license and a good driving record are also necessary.

Degree in a related field or CDA required or meet DSS licensing requirements.

Minimum age is 18.

Candidates must be responsible and energetic.

Qualifications

General experience with budgeting and program administration is helpful.
