Job summary

Arc Experience is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator to support after-school programs in Southern California. You will work directly with students, support the Site Coordinator, and coordinate enrichment activities while ensuring safety and positive behavior.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in after-school settings, strong communication with families, and are bilingual English/Spanish. Multilingual or additional vaccines are a plus. This is a part-time, non-exempt on-site position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation.
• Strong communication with kids and parents.
• College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units or pass proficiency exam.
• TB test and Live Scan background check.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Covid-19 vaccination documentation if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator and act as the second contact for parents and administrators.
• Oversee safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Establish and enforce rules to promote positive behavior.
• Coordinate and participate in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings to stay updated on best practices.
• Address challenging behavior with supervisors or parents.
• Facilitate sign-up procedures to ensure accurate attendance.
• Create and lead clubs (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance).
• Organize activities including homework help, games, arts and crafts.

You will also work with administrative staff at the school, develop lesson plans, track attendance, and ensure grant compliance. For example, we have a variety of clubs at our schools including career readiness, cooking, anime, and dance!Organize and lead a variety of activities, including homework help, recreational games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.#LA2To qualify for this position, you will need:At least 2 years of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.To be a good communicator and be able to talk to both kids and parents comfortably.College transcripts that show you have 48+ college credit units completed OR you take and pass an academic proficiency exam.To get a TB test (and provide proof that it is negative) and pass a Live Scan background check.If you are an English-Spanish bilingual speaker, your resume will stand out!If the school you will be working at requires a Covid-19 vaccination, then you must provide documentation that shows you are fully Covid-19 vaccinated.The Assistant Site Coordinator position is part-time, non-exempt.
