Drybar Shops is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to oversee salon operations, drive revenue, and mentor stylists. The role blends leadership, operations, marketing, and team development to ensure the Drybar experience is delivered consistently.

The ideal candidate is a licensed cosmetologist with leadership potential who enjoys coaching teams, building client relationships, and helping a business grow. This is an on-site, full-time position in King of Prussia, PA.

Qualifications

• Active state-issued Cosmetology license.
• 2–3 years experience in a salon or beauty service environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze performance data and share results with leadership.
• Experience with scheduling and inventory management.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting.
• Familiarity with booking and marketing software is a plus.

About the Role

Drybar is seeking a motivated and energeticAssistant Shop Managerto help lead our shop team, deliver an exceptional client experience, and drive revenue growth.

This role blendsleadership, operations, marketing, and stylist developmentto ensure our team consistently delivers the signature Drybar experience.

This position is ideal for alicensed cosmetologist with leadership potentialwho enjoys coaching teams, building client relationships, and helping a business grow.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Performance

• Support shop revenue growth by monitoring and improving key performance metrics
• Optimize appointment scheduling to maximize revenue while managing labor costs
• Drive retail performance through product education and upselling strategies
• Support membership growth, client package sales, and retention initiatives

Marketing & Community Engagement

• Execute local marketing initiatives includingsocial media, events, and community partnerships
• Build brand visibility through outreach with local businesses, schools, and organizations
• Assist in planning in-shop events, promotions, and recruitment initiatives
• Represent the Drybar brand with professionalism and enthusiasm

Team Development & Education

• Train, coach, and mentor stylists and bartenders to elevate service quality
• Support interviewing, auditioning, onboarding, and training of new hires
• Provide real-time coaching to improve technique, service timing, and retail success
• Foster a positive, motivated team culture through mentorship and recognition

Operations & Shop Leadership

• Serve asManager-on-Duty when the Shop Manager is not present
• Ensure adherence to brand standards, service protocols, and safety policies
• Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and smooth daily operations
• Support inventory management and ordering processes
• Assist with staffing schedules, payroll tracking, and operational reporting

Qualifications

Required

• Active state-issued Cosmetology license
• 2-3 years experiencein a salon, beauty, or similar service environment
• Leadership mindset with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze performance data and communicate results to leadership
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting or managingsocial media for a business or brand
• Marketing experience includinglocal promotions, events, or community outreach
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with digital tools and scheduling systems
• Experience withBooker, Canva, or similar salon/marketing software
• Previous experience in a leadership, assistant manager, or trainer role
• Passion for beauty, client service, and team development
