Our South Elgin, IL location is looking for a full-time Assistant Service Manager. The salary range for this role is $70-75k annually, based on candidate qualifications and experience. The primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise the operation of the shop and field
• Foster positive customer and employee relations
• Review & analyze department data to meet sales and profit goals
• Process and review work orders, invoicing, and customer quotes
• Monitor employee training progress
• Oversee payroll entry and audit for accuracy
• Coordinate purchase orders
• Maintain condition of service vehicles and facilities
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and be ready for work at the designated start time

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of previous management experience preferred
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong customer relations and people skills
• Ability to manage others successfully
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Intermediate language skills: ability to read, interpret, and communicate safety rules, instructions, and manuals
• High reasoning ability: solve practical problems and interpret instructions
• Intermediate mathematical skills: perform calculations involving discounts, interest, percentages, etc.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Regular talking/hearing; frequent standing, sitting, using hands; occasional walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; tasting/smelling
• Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
• Work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather, chemicals, electrical hazards, wet/humid conditions
