Responsibilities

• Maintain and foster contacts with facilities operations, owners, consultants, contractors, vendors and material suppliers
• Act as a subject matter expert regarding electrical engineering activities
• Interact closely with internal teams to ensure that project needs and objectives are met
• Interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and documentation related to engineering and construction
• Coordinate meetings, scheduling updates, submit deliverables and address outstanding "open items" as requested by clients
• Prepare look‑ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reports
• Review and monitor job costs versus budgets
• Focus on the client: develop an understanding of the client’s culture, key people, and processes
• Provide guidance and direction for estimators during the estimation process
• Manage and assist project layout and coordination
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs
• Coordinate work with Purchasing to ensure requested material is expedited and received as needed for construction
• Resolve inter‑group conflicts, project conflicts and delays as required to meet project construction goals
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
• Responsible for all financial reporting, tracking and projection of all labor, material, job expenses, and changes for each assigned project
• Maintain all submittal, drawing, correspondence, and change logs
• Submit, review for added cost, file and log all RFIs
• Prepare, organize, and manage material buyouts
• Track major deliveries to jobsites
• Actively assist project Superintendent and Lead Technician with all miscellaneous issues as necessary (material, information, special items, constructability, etc.)
• Conduct weekly jobsite visits and attend all jobsite meetings as required
