Assistant Server – Restaurant Associates

Location: 945 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10021. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time. Open availability preferred. Days and hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior upscale dining/serving experience is required.

Fixed Rate: $11.35 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Supports servers in preparing the dining room and table sets.
• Delivers orders to the table and Busses the table.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others.
• Abides by all company policies and procedures, including safe use of gloves, mitts, appropriate footwear and lifting techniques.
• Enforce compliance with established kitchen standards, procedures, departmental policies and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and proper food presentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
• Experience working in an upscale, high-volume fine dining environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills supporting a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
• Extensive knowledge of diverse culinary styles and mastery across line‑level cooking stations.
