Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Assistant Security Officer (CAC-SMS) for Springfield, VA to ensure security compliance and DoD clearance processes. The role requires coordinating with JPAS, Scattered Castle, M3/SMS, DEERS/Rapids, and other systems while interfacing with Contractors and Government agencies.

The position offers standard hours with occasional shifts, requiring strong communication, detail orientation, and adherence to security policies. A TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business Administration or Security; 0–1 years DoD security experience.
• Extra 2 years IC security experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship required.
• Must access Scattered Castle, M3/SMS, C-Cure 9000, MDI, PSAMS.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong attention to detail.
• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years Security Admin experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAC duties, rotate to Briefing, Clearance Passing, and Front Desk areas as needed.
• Coordinate with JPAS, Scattered Castle, M3/SMS, DEERS/Rapids, e-Travel, C-Cure 9000, PSAM.
• Coordinate with Facility Security Officer to ensure DoD clearance requirements are met.
• Produce accurate reports and handle multiple daily duties.
• Maintain MS Office proficiency and careful document handling.
• Follow DoD and NGA policies; adhere to WSC Rules and timekeeping.
• Handle transport of classified documents and related materials.
• Perform all other security-related duties as assigned.
