Security Assistant Manager

JOB SUMMARY: To plan, direct, coordinate, train and supervise Goodwill

Security Officers, operations, and prepare work schedules. The Assistant

Manager will primarily work 2 nd /3 rd shifts during the hours between 5pm-9am.The Assistant Manager will visit posts and meet with officers to ensure proper procedures are being followed. The Assistant Manager will train officers as needed, upload new officers to the CLEET portal, and update post orders with the Security Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Punctual and dependable attendance.
  • Will fill in for Security Manager and Security Officers as needed.
  • Manage security officers at contract sites and temporary job sites.
  • Manage, request, and maintain all supplies and equipment.
  • Plan, assign and evaluate the work performance of security personnel.
  • Coordinate with Security Manager to train employees, monitor/approve timecards, manage safety, and staff accountability expectations.
  • Conducts random inspections to ensure appearance standards and conduct are meeting requirements.
  • Implement new training programs for clients.
  • Perform a broad range of supervisory responsibilities over others.
  • Interpret customer needs and provide solutions while conforming to industry and Oklahoma CLEET standards.
  • Produce written documents with clearly organized thoughts using proper sentence structure, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Manage all daily activity reports (DAR) for clients to ensure compliance.
  • Work continually with the Security Manager to ensure compliance with stated mission, goals, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Communicate with Security Manager, customers, clients, and the public.
  • Prepare and administer all schedules for all security officers.
  • Review and be familiar with Goodwill of Central Oklahoma safety policies, programs and procedures and adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes. Attend safety training and meetings and report any unsafe work conditions, accidents, or injuries immediately.
  • Administer First Aid and CPR if required.
  • Manage the time approval process to include daily timesheets, PTO, and miss punches.
  • Review and manage the daily PTO calendar to ensure 100% coverage.
  • Establish and maintain an “on-call” list of officers to perform special events on an as-needed basis.
  • Create and distribute site specific training documents and guidelines for officers that include GICO and client policies and procedures.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Valid CLEET Phase I and II certifications issued by the State of Oklahoma, required.
  • 2 years supervision and management experience preferred.
  • 3 years of experience with CLEET, law enforcement, or military service, preferred.
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Must pass OSBI/DOC background check.
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and Car Insurance verification required.
  • Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
  • Reliable transportation and communication required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work in a climate-controlled environment most of the time. When filling in for security officer vacancies, works in all weather conditions such as rain, snow, sleet, heat and cold.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours which may require various security posts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
