Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company is hiring an Assistant Scientist.

• Experience with aseptic culture of mammalian cell lines is a must
• Hands-on experience with flow cytometry

Location: Summit NJ

Pay: $33-35/hour W2

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility of developing mammalian cell lines and assessing new platforms to produce monoclonal and bispecific antibodies, fusion proteins or other recombinant proteins for clinical and commercial manufacturing
• The selected candidate will be heavily involved in techniques such as flow cytometry and cell imaging
• Additionally, the scientist will participate in the assessment and integration of new technologies to enhance our platforms
• Perform cell staining, imaging and flow cytometry
• Assist with ongoing business and innovation projects in the lab
• Conduct limited data analysis and review
• Carry out assigned laboratory work and other basic functional duties to support lab operations
• Maintain a research lab notebook, recording information on activities
• Comply with lab procedures, protocols, regulatory, and other requirements
• Evaluate and introduce innovative technologies to improve the cell line development process and therapeutic protein production
• Create written technical reports and present data at internal forums
• Required BS degree but MS is preferred in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related biologics fields
• Automation experience is a plus
• Basic understanding of daily lab functions, maintenance, safety, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
