Overview

This posting is for individuals interested in Assistant Principal/Assistant Head of School roles for the 2025-2026 school year.   • Instructional Leadership: Promote high-quality instruction, support culturally responsive teaching, utilize data for improvement, and lead school leadership teams.
  • Management & Operations: Maintain safe, welcoming environments, support behavioral expectations, lead hiring processes, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Family & Community Engagement: Build partnerships, collaborate with families, and ensure inclusive engagement practices.
  • Professional Culture: Foster high expectations, lead reflective practices, develop a shared vision, and resolve conflicts constructively.
Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree, legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred: MA DESE Principal/Assistant Principal license or Supervisor/Director license and content area license, Master’s degree, urban school leadership experience, bilingual skills, Boston residency.

Compensation & Conditions

Salary is based on the BASAS union scale, with specifics to be posted in winter/spring 2024. The position adheres to nondiscrimination policies and offers a comprehensive support system for leaders.
