Children of America is seeking an Assistant School Director in Fredericksburg, VA to lead and grow a team delivering high-quality early childhood education. You will work closely with the School Director to support operations, enrollment, and program delivery across multiple age groups.

The role emphasizes leadership, compliance with licensing, professional development, and strong collaboration with families. Salary ranges from $55,000 to $60,000 with performance incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III NC Early Childhood Administration Credential or equivalent; must start within 6 months and complete within 2 years.
• Two years of verifiable experience with children with developmental delays.
• Education certification with an Administrator Endorsement; comply with state regulations.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education and child development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must meet all applicable state licensing and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the School Director in leading the school and staff.
• Develop, lead, and retain a talented team of educators and support staff.
• Ensure COA policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
• Maintain compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Support enrollment growth through COA Experience.
• Implement COA curriculum to promote high-quality care and education.
• Collaborate with the School Director on operational and educational needs.
• Coach staff; participate in training and development.
• Be a positive leader and role model for the school community.
• Assist with day-to-day administrative and leadership duties.
