Job summary

Children of America seeks an Assistant School Director to partner with the School Director in leading a childcare center serving ages 6 weeks to 12 years. You will help recruit and develop talented educators, maintain high-quality educational programming, and drive enrollment growth.

You will ensure compliance with licensing, support daily operations, and foster a welcoming environment for families and staff while advancing leadership opportunities within the organization.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Child Development or Early Childhood Education is required.
• At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare facility is required.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a successful, high-performing childcare center by partnering with the School Director.
• Recruit, develop, motivate, and retain educators and support staff.
• Provide guidance to teachers to promote growth and classroom success.
• Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture and build relationships with families and leadership.
• Assist with managing daily center operations, staffing, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
