Job summary

The Fullington Auto Bus Company in Philipsburg, PA seeks an Assistant Location Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, safety compliance, and customer relations at the location.

You will supervise staff, coordinate routing with schools, and ensure on-time service while building partnerships with officials and the community.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Assistant Location Manager provides operational support, day-to-day management, customer interface, and required reporting and compliance mandates (both internal and external). Is first line representation of location management with school officials concerning issues of passenger management, route scheduling, charter activities, driver issues, and general logistics matters. Directly supervises exempt and non-exempt staff.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manages fleet and facility as needed.
  • Improves operational efficiencies where applicable.
  • Enforces all company policies/procedures and are makes sure they are followed. (Leads by example)
  • Manages and monitors company compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Assists day-to-day operations of the location.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations when manager is not at the location
  • Builds positive relationships with local school district officials, parents and the community.
  • Quickly responds to and resolves customer complaints.
  • Coaches and evaluates personnel.
  • Implements fair and consistent recognition and/or corrective discipline.
  • Recruits, selects and hires new employees.
  • Assists district with routing and stop locations (district must sign off on ALL route and stop locations)
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High level of customer service and relationship building.
  • Outstanding communication skills; internal and external and at all levels
  • Well-developed supervisory and employee relations skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize effectively
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Computer literacy essential
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach and lead subordinates as well as engage employees to achieve improved performance.
Minimum Education Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-3 years management-related experience.
  • Valid driver license, have or willing to obtain CDL B with endorsements
  • Ability to pass a DOT and SB physical
