The Assistant Salon Manager will be the heartbeat of the salon, managing all operations and providing leadership and tools for success. As part of the management team, you have the opportunity to help build a strong team that will provide excellent customer service and foster a culture focused on achieving excellent salon results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support Salon Manager to oversee daily salon operations
2. Lead the team (by example)
3. Motivate and coach hair stylists & barbers to deliver excellent results
4. Manage day to day business
5. Hire, Train and Retain Stylists
6. Ability to prevent and handle customer complaints with grace
7. Balance the walk-in and appointment schedules
8. Promote the salon to new customers as well as potential new employees
9. Promote and maintain the Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids brand aesthetic, atmosphere and culture
10. Be a team player and promote camaraderie
11. Balance time between cutting hair on the floor and coaching the team to be successful.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Hair salon management experience.
2. Prior experience managing a team a plus
3. Valid Texas cosmetology or barber license.
4. Strong technical skills with ability to mentor
5. Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of personalities
6. Experience with Salon Ultimate software a plus but not necessary

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY

1. Rotating weekends

PAY

· $25.00 - $35.00 per hour plus tips
· Commission from retail sales
