Role Summary
This position involves supporting the Store Sales Manager with sales growth, operational execution, and customer service excellence. All Assistant Sales Managers are responsible for executing shared responsibilities related to daily job functions and sales results. This is a non-exempt, hourly paid role.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Sales & Financial Performance
- Assist in achieving sales goals
- Perform Manager on Duty (MOD) shifts
- Participate in sales activities and contests
- Monitor and adjust store labor as needed
- Track KPIs impacting daily/weekly business
Customer Service- Engage with customers, provide product knowledge, resolve issues
- Coach team on customer service standards
- Handle complaints professionally and promptly
- Follow up on customer inquiries
Team Leadership- Hold team accountable for performance
- Motivate and inspire achievement
- Adjust team priorities as needed
- Provide on-the-spot coaching
- Communicate employee concerns timely
Talent Management- Participate in staffing, recruiting, and interviewing
- Conduct orientation and training
- Manage performance issues appropriately
- Participate in employee reviews
Product Knowledge & Visual Merchandising- Stay updated on sales trends and product info
- Train team on product features and selling techniques
- Ensure visual standards are met

- Perform opening/closing procedures

Required Skills/Abilities
- 2+ years retail leadership experience

- Ability to learn POS systems and reporting tools
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
