D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Assistant Sales Manager for their Sales and Marketing Department. The right candidate will assist the Sales Manager in the management, training, and motivation of the sales staff, handle buyer calls and issues, and sign all documentation related to home purchases and closings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist in managing sales staff
  2. Meet or exceed set sales goals
  3. Create new incentives for neighborhoods
  4. Enforce company policies
  5. Recruit and hire future sales representatives
  6. Train and motivate the sales force
  7. Realtor outreach (realtor breakfasts, lunches, office presentations)
  8. Collaborate with the marketing coordinator/manager and Division Manager on advertising
  9. Coordinate with agents on all marketing promotions
  10. Organize grand openings and new phases
  11. Conduct competitive analysis on product, features, and neighborhoods/amenities
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises two or more employees in the Sales Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Must have a vehicle, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel.
