Job summary

T E C Industrial is seeking an experienced Assistant Safety Director to oversee safety performance across multiple projects. The role emphasizes policy development, audits, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance in heavy civil construction.

The ideal candidate will bring CSP or OHST certification, 10+ years in construction safety, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive a culture of safety across locations. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction safety, with at least 6 years in a leadership role.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) certification required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standards applicable to heavy civil construction.

• Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive safety policies and procedures for all construction projects.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with the Corporate Safety Director to align site-specific safety plans with company-wide initiatives.

Assistant Safety Director

T E C Industrial, a leading company in Industrial Construction, is seeking an experienced Assistant Safety Director. This role is crucial in maintaining and improving our occupational safety and health performance across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Experience and proven capabilities related to accident investigation, root cause analysis, etc.
• Experienced and proven track record regarding assessing site safety programs and developing effective and measurable plans of redress where applicable.

Required Certifications

• OSHA 510 Certification
• OSHA 500/502 Certification preferred
• Competency Trainer certification for Fall Protection, Excavation, and Trenching
• First Aid/CPR certification

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in safety leadership, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously. They must be able to work effectively with various departments and stakeholders to foster a culture of safety across the organization.
