The electrophysiology lab employs cardiologists trained in diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias). They utilize advanced equipment to monitor and map the heart's electrical system and treat rhythm problems. Scope of work

The cath lab assistant nurse manager provides direct oversight and supervision of all cath lab staff and processes under the direction of the nurse leader. They assist with staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations, and are responsible for implementing department philosophy, goals, policies, procedures, and handling patient concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required
  • Master’s degree in nursing preferred
  • Two years of recent relevant cath lab nursing experience required
  • Three+ years of relevant clinical experience preferred
  • Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
