Job Summary
- This position maintains a high-energy, positive environment, demonstrating behaviors that support client-centric service. The Assistant Salon Director drives store performance, fosters superior client service, and maintains operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. This individual manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leads by example, and fosters a sense of urgency to achieve objectives while holding the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead by example in creating a client-centric experience and meeting sales expectations.
- Maintain a professional and clean salon environment.
- Establish clear goals and objectives for team members.
- Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance.
- Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other functions.
- Assist the Salon Director in controlling revenue and expenses.
- Maintain proper staffing levels to ensure productivity and excellent service while controlling labor costs.
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required to provide management coverage.
- Have reliable transportation for banking and other duties.
- Work approximately 40-45 hours per week, with a schedule that may vary depending on employment status.
Experience:
- College education preferred but not required.
- Management and/or sales experience preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple situations.
- Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
- Team-building skills.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to bend to clean equipment.
- Ability to lift items and heavy boxes.
- Ability to bend to pick up items from the floor.
- Perform cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
