Job Summary:

The Assistant Salon Director fosters a positive, energetic environment, supporting client-centric service, driving store performance, and maintaining operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. This role involves managing Tanning Consultants, leading by example, and ensuring an exceptional client experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  1. Manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced setting.
  2. Lead by example in creating a client-focused environment and achieving sales targets.
  3. Maintain a professional, clean salon environment.
  4. Set clear goals for team members and provide coaching and feedback.
  5. Generate sales reports, oversee inventory, and support salon director duties.
  6. Assist in controlling revenue and expenses.
  7. Maintain proper staffing levels to ensure productivity and service quality while managing labor costs.
  8. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for management coverage.
  9. Reliable transportation for banking and other duties.
  10. Expect to work five days a week, approximately 40-45 hours, depending on employment status.

Experience & Skills:

  • College education preferred but not required.
  • Management and sales experience beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of customer service techniques and operational practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Team-building and delegation abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and perform cleaning functions as required.
