An acclaimed luxury hotel in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Assistant Restaurant Manager to join its award winning Chinese fine-dining restaurant. A successful candidate must bring operational leadership experience from a Michelin-starred or Black Pearl-rated Chinese restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily service operations with precision and professionalism
  • Supervise and mentor service staff, ensuring all team members meet high standards of service and etiquette
  • Lead pre-service briefings, coordinate floor operations, and manage shift assignments — all conducted in Mandarin
  • Maintain consistency in service excellence across lunch and dinner operations, including VIP handling
  • Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure flawless coordination between kitchen and service
  • Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene standards according to hotel and local regulations
  • Manage reservations, guest feedback, and service recovery when required
  • Step into the Restaurant Manager role during their absence to ensure uninterrupted leadership
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of management or supervisory experience in a Michelin-starred or Black Pearl-rated Chinese restaurant
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) – this is the operational language
  • Strong understanding of Chinese fine dining, cultural etiquette, and traditional service rituals
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and guest service skills
  • Familiarity with high-end hospitality systems (e.g., POS, reservations, inventory management)
