This position assists in training and supervising all Barlines Associates at the hotel. The Assistant Barlines Manager ensures prompt, courteous service that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards, company policies, and high service levels across outlets including Barlines, Pool Bar, Nighttime In-Room Dining, and Lobby Bar.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist with overall management during assigned shifts.
  2. Supervise, evaluate, organize, recruit, train, and direct Barlines and Pool Bar staff.
  3. Complete environmental checklists for dining areas.
  4. Monitor liquor inventory, quality, and adherence to liquor laws.
  5. Order supplies and monitor stock levels.
  6. Handle guest feedback and ensure satisfaction.
  7. Maintain a presence on the floor during peak hours.
  8. Communicate effectively with guests and staff.
  9. Oversee food preparation and beverage presentation.
  10. Assist with scheduling, payroll, and forecasting.
  11. Coordinate maintenance requests.
  12. Monitor food and liquor requisitions, manage waste.
  13. Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents.
  14. Maintain cleanliness and standards of the bar area.
  15. Create promotional activities to enhance profits.
  16. Ensure cashiering responsibilities are met accurately.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of management experience in food & beverage, preferably in a hotel or high-volume sports bar.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate staff.
  • Ability to teach staff customer interaction and internal/external communication.
  • Experience managing schedules, inventory, payroll, and employee relations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle high-volume requests.
  • Strong organizational skills and guest service orientation.
  • Serve Safe certified food manager and unexpired TABC certification.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
