Job summary

SSP America is hiring an Assistant Restaurant Manager for the Dane County Regional Airport in Wisconsin. The role oversees daily restaurant operations, drives guest service standards, and leads a team of Food Travel Experts.

Salary ranges from $55,000 to $60,000 per year, with opportunities for quarterly bonuses and a year-end bonus, plus comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in restaurant management, strong MS Office and POS skills, and a proven ability to coordinate

Qualifications

• Educational background: High School Diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree or equivalent coursework preferred.
• 2+ years in the restaurant industry in a management/supervisory capacity.
• Proficient computer literacy including MS Office and POS systems.
• Ability to interact with executives, union representatives, and diverse team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage all restaurant and customer service activities, supervise and evaluate team performance, and provide feedback.
• Lead and develop the team: recruit, train, and assign daily goals and tasks.
• Maintain adherence to company policies and procedures; uphold brand standards and inventory levels.
• Handle office tasks: receiving, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and payroll.
• Assist in forecasting and budgeting by analyzing sales reports.
• Address routine issues and escalate complex problems to management.

We have an exciting opportunity for an

Assistant Restaurant Manager

within the Dane County Regional Airport (MSN).

What You’ll Do:

Manage All Restaurant and Customer Service Activities:

Manage, supervise and evaluate Team Member performance through follow-up to ensure proper completion of assigned tasks and goals and provides feedback including disciplinary action.

Lead and Develop Team:

Recruit, train, and communicate with team of Food Travel Experts. Develop, plan and assign daily goals, tasks and Team Member assignments. Implement and maintain guest service standards and brand specifications fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Systems and Processes:

Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedure.

Merchandising and Displays:

Maintain all brand standards, display presentations and signing standards and monitor inventory levels.

Office Management:

Handle tasks such as management of receiving, inventory, purchasing, team member scheduling and payroll.

Forecasting and Budgeting:

Assist in monitoring sales performance through the analysis of sales reports.

Problem Solving:

Address routine issues and elevate complex problems to higher management as necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

Educational Background:

High School Diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree or equivalent coursework preferred.

Experience:

2+ years in the restaurant industry in a management/supervisory capacity.

Technical Skills:

Proficient level of computer literacy, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. Effective organizational maturity to prioritize daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities.

Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to interact at all levels, including with executives, union representatives, and diverse hourly team members. Proven track record of resolving uncomfortable situations with clients, customers, peers and direct reports.

Competitive Compensation:
