We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Restaurant Manager at The Palms in JFK International Airport, Terminal 4. If you thrive in a fast-paced food environment and are ready for a challenging and rewarding role, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

• Manage all Front of House and Kitchen activities: supervise and evaluate team performance, ensure task completion, and provide feedback including disciplinary actions.
• Focus on Food Quality: maintain food standards, recipe adherence, portion control, and compliance with safety specifications.
• Cost Control: optimize food and labor costs to maximize profitability.
• Lead and Develop the Team: recruit, train, and communicate with team members; develop daily goals and maintain service standards.
• Adhere to Systems and Processes: follow company policies, health, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain Merchandising Standards: oversee displays, signage, and inventory levels.
• Manage Office Tasks: handle funds, media, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and payroll.
• Assist with Forecasting and Budgeting: monitor sales performance and analyze reports.
• Problem Solving: address routine issues and escalate complex problems appropriately.

What We’re Looking For

• Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years in restaurant/food service management.
• Technical Skills: experience with full-service restaurants and bar management; culinary background is a plus.
• Certifications: Food Handlers’ Card or equivalent.
• Computer Skills: proficiency in MS Office and POS systems; strong organizational skills.
• Interpersonal Skills: ability to interact with all levels, resolve conflicts, and handle diverse teams.
