Marcus Hotels & Resorts seeks an outgoing, guest-focused Assistant Restaurant Manager for our Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel, overseeing evening F&B operations including In-Room Dining, Concierge Lounge, and Miller Time Pub & Grill.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in F&B supervision, strong communication, and experience with POS systems; MS Office knowledge is a plus. The role requires professional appearance and leadership of a dining team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; college degree in hospitality preferred or equal work experience.
• 2 years of Food & Beverage supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and POS systems.
• Knowledge of Beverage operations and guest service excellence.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to tables ensuring courteous, efficient dining room operation.
• Perform all dining room roles including server, server assistant, and host.
• Interact with guests promoting hotel facilities and services; resolve issues to satisfaction.
• Monitor kitchen and dining areas; assess food quality, appearance and preparation methods.
• Use POS system to accurately charge customers and ensure timely service.

The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel and Miller Time Pub & Grillare in search of an out-going and customer focused leader as our next Assistant Restaurant Manager. This key role on our food and beverage team will manage the evening food and beverage operationsto include In-Room Dining, Concierges Lounge and Miller Time Pub & Grill. What will you be doing?

• Greet and escort guests to tables in the restaurant maintaining a courteous and efficient operation of the dining room to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Ability to perform all dining room positions including server, server assistant, and host.
• Interact positively with customers promoting hotel facilities and services. Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties.
• Move throughout facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met. Verify temperature, judge appearance and taste of products and check preparation methods to determine quality. Give guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency.
• Utilize POS system to accurately charge customers, and ensure timeliness of food and beverage.
• Maintaining a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics and self-image with yourself as well as subordinates. Ensure appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, and appearance are maintained by all associates.

What you will bring to the role?

• High school diploma required. College degree in hospitality related field preferred or equal work experience required.
• Position requires 2 years-previous Food & Beverage and supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint helpful, Outlook, and POS systems.
• Knowledge of Beverage operations.
• Ability to work entire shift standing and moving about in restaurants and kitchen areas.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English language, to understand internal documents, reports and to interact effectively with guests and employees.
