The Assistant Restaurant General Manager (ARGM) is responsible for directing daily restaurant operations in the RGM’s absence, ensuring compliance with company standards, and delivering high-quality products and services to guests. The ARGM works closely with the RGM to implement policies and procedures, promote profitability, and lead the restaurant team effectively.

Key Responsibilities of the ARGM include:

  • Addressing and resolving guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Engaging positively with guests.
  • Assisting the RGM in recruiting, hiring, developing, and motivating team members; managing work schedules.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for employees and customers; ensuring equipment is in good condition.
  • Properly storing, handling, preparing, and presenting ingredients and menu items with attention to food safety.
  • Managing administrative tasks effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent, or related work experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

The role requires standing, walking, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, handling, feeling, reaching, and occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include peripheral vision and focus adjustment. Exposure to cooking fumes and moderate noise levels are typical.
