The Assistant General Manager will ensure maximum guest satisfaction and financial success through providing exceptional service and attention to guests and colleagues alike. They will plan, organize, direct and control the work of employees in Adorn Restaurant and Bar + Mile High Cocktail Club. They will be responsible for coaching, disciplining, and celebrating the team with a high focus on training and development. The Assistant GM will maintain consistency in daily operations in absence of the Restaurant General Manager and be responsible for internal and external communications with guests and colleagues.
What you will do
Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline employees in Adorn Restaurant and Bar to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
Assist Restaurant GM with establishing the long-term strategic planning for the Restaurants operation.
Manage labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control while focusing on creative revenue generation solutionsto maximize profit.
The ability to be visible in the operation, recognize, nurture and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons to ultimately increase loyalty as a key business driver.
Excellent food and beverage product knowledge spanning all areas.
Assist Restaurant GMin leading the bar and cocktail program.
Participate in planning, organizing and executing of the Restaurants Marketing Plans and its events.
Communicate with team members to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.

Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Assist with the service of food to guests.
Assist in making dining reservations and seating of guests.
Ensure proper table set-up and make minor adjustments as needed.
Assist with set-up and cleaning of operational areas.
Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of ordue to heavy volume in other areas of the Resort
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
What you bring
College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience is required.
Have 1+ years of previous Luxury Hotel Restaurant management experience. Michelin starred environment desirable.
Knowledge of Chicago and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required.
Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.
Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
Strong beverage knowledge with Sommelier certificate.
Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
Strong problem solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests.
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language

Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
