Job summary

Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort in Hilton Head Island, SC, seeks an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager for Alexander’s Restaurant. You will support the Restaurant Manager in daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and private dining areas, ensuring exceptional guest service and profitability.

You will oversee beverage programs, inventory, and cost control, lead staff training and scheduling, and manage reservations for dining and private events.

Qualifications

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operation of the restaurant, bar, and private dining areas.
• Manage dining and special event reservations to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Oversee beverage program, costs, inventory, and invoices.
• Lead training, scheduling, and performance management of front-of-house staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure front-of-house and bar service meets established standards.
• Monitor beverage costs and financial performance against budget goals.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train restaurant team members.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when Restaurant Manager is absent.
• Coordinate with Catering Department for private events.
