Job summary

Center for Developmental Disabilities, Inc. seeks a Residence Manager to oversee residence operations, supervise staff, ensure program implementation, and maintain regulatory compliance.

You will manage payroll, communications with families and care teams, coordinate scheduling, and serve as on-site leadership during the Residential Manager’s absence, ensuring safety and dignity for individuals served.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License required.
  • AMAP/SCIP/CPR certification, per Center policy.
  • Must perform physical activities (twisting, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing).
  • Must sit, walk, drive and stand for prolonged periods; lift 50 lbs.
  • Good written and/or verbal communication skills.
  • Two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operations of the residence.
  • Provide staff training for the implementation of individuals' programs.
  • Ensure program is operating according to agency policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Complete payroll duties for the residence.
  • Ensure proper communication with team members, including families/guardians, care managers, Clinical/Nursing Departments, etc.
  • Responsible for on-site supervision of all staff members.
  • Ensure proper program implementation.
  • Assist the Residential Manager with hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and evaluations of staff.
  • Assume all responsibilities of the Residential Manager during their absence.
  • Responsible for scheduling of staff members.
  • Ensure the health and happiness of individuals at their site(s).
  • Ensure that all individuals receive support consistent with Dignity and Core Competencies.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the residence and address cleaning issues.
  • Responsible for purchasing household items.
  • Maintain kitchen area and food needs.
  • Responsible for petty cash and receipts for the residence.
  • Inform the Residential Manager of all caseload issues and concerns.
  • On-call 24/7 for residence emergencies and overnight shifts when Residential Manager is unavailable.
  • Assume direct care staff responsibilities when there is a staff shortage.

This position is eligible for rate differentials, with total hourly compensation starting at $27.47/hour and reaching up to $30.92/hour (depending on role & shift).
