SUMMARY

As an Assistant Health Club Manager, you will help organize, schedule, and provide direct daily support to the Gym/Pool Facility. In this role, you will assist the Health Club Manager in ensuring that team members can effectively prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies, as well as enforce facility policies with a focus on stellar customer service. You will be a senior point of contact in escalated situations and will report to the Health Club Manager with operations updates in their absence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Complete projects and tasks assigned by the Health Club Manager by set deadlines.
  • Maintain a prompt and reliable line of communication with the Health Club Manager.
  • Consult with the Health Club Manager and request approval for anything that may significantly impact the facility, its operations, or relations with contractors.
  • Assist in managing scheduling for the facility.
  • Serve as the point of contact/escalation for all team members and in the absence of the Health Club Manager.
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the facility.
  • Assist in managing and ensuring consistency of employee disciplinary processes, including timely resolution and documentation.
  • Assist in collecting unpaid balances from facility members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Work a minimum of 3 days a week with at least 1 day of weekend availability.
  • Must possess (or obtain within the first ninety days of employment) required certifications through StarGuard Elite (CPR, AED, and First Aid).
  • Possess or be in the process of receiving a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in customer service or lifeguard services industry.

Physical

  • Ability to operate all necessary equipment and move or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist in water rescue situations.
