Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer/Senior Office Engineer, with 10 years of experience, to join our Water Division as part of our construction management team on a NYCDEP construction project in Yonkers, NY.
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join our team with support from one of the best-qualified municipal consulting firms in the country. As an Assistant Resident Engineer, you will utilize your experience and technical knowledge of municipal infrastructure, water and wastewater facilities, and general building projects to successfully execute and manage construction under the supervision of the Construction Manager and Resident Engineer.
Role accountabilities:
As an Assistant Resident Engineer, you will manage the firm's day-to-day construction oversight and assist the Construction Manager (CM) and Resident Engineer (RE) in managing inspection staff, reviewing shop drawings, and ensuring compliance with safety and permit conditions. You will monitor contractor performance, support project meetings, supervise ARCADIS staff, and ensure project goals regarding cost, schedule, and quality are met.
