Job Description: Assistant Resident Building Superintendent at City of New York

Join to apply for the Assistant Resident Building Superintendent role at City of New York.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Overseeing daily maintenance operations at development.
  2. Supervising the repair of structures and equipment, maintenance of roof tanks, standpipe systems, sprinkler systems, and auxiliary equipment. Managing the care of buildings and grounds through labor and material resources.
  3. Monitoring inventory supply and arranging for replenishment as needed.
  4. Conducting building inspections and following up on repairs for PHAS preparations.
  5. Monitoring work orders in Maximo and deploying staff to address repairs.
  6. Overseeing repair work done by Maintenance Workers in residents' apartments and public spaces.
  7. Supervising the preparation of move-outs.

  • If this appointment is made on a provisional basis pursuant to NYS Civil Service Law 65, no tenure or permanence accrues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of permanent service in related titles or
  • A high school diploma or equivalent plus four years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience. Higher education can substitute for up to two years of experience.
