ACHIEVE in Broome County, NY is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager for a full-time, 2nd shift role. The position involves supervising DSP staff on shift, training residents in personal care and independent living skills, and coordinating social activities.

The role requires an Associate degree (or equivalent) and a valid driver’s license, with pay between $21.50 and $22.75 per hour plus comprehensive benefits. This entry-level supervisory opportunity supports career growth in human services.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with two years of experience in OPWDD population preferred.
• Possess a valid driver’s license acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, and direct DSP staff while on shift, reporting to Program Manager or administration.
• Provide training and assistance to residents to develop personal care and independent living skills.
• Develop, coordinate and provide opportunities for social/recreational activities.
• Provide supervision to residents at the IRA and in the community.
• Provide training to residents with money management such as budgeting, banking and purchases.
• Manage resident personal allowances according to agency procedures.
• Intervene in crises and emergencies per agency policy.
• Provide first aid as needed.
• Ensure DSPs follow medication administration steps and documentation.
• Supervise diet and nutritional needs of residents.
• Provide transportation as needed or access to transportation.
• Accompany residents to medical appointments and document follow-up.
