The Assistant Research Security Officer, CUI Manager is responsible for ensuring the OVPR's role in maintaining institutional compliance with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) regulations, including NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and other federal mandates. This role involves developing security policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure proper management of CUI within university research activities. The position also supports broader research security initiatives, collaborates with IT on cloud security policies, and serves on the campus CUI Committee to align security controls with federal standards.
The Office of Research Integrity, Compliance and Security helps researchers navigate compliance and meet regulations to conduct research safely, efficiently, and uphold K-State's research integrity.
