Job summary

Texas A&M University Health Science Center is seeking an Assistant Research Scientist for the Joint Microscopy Laboratory in the Cell Biology and Genetics department in Bryan, TX. The role focuses on supporting MINFLUX 3D microscope work and aiding users with experimental design and data analysis.

Ideal candidates will have a PhD in a relevant field, plus experience in light microscopy and advanced imaging techniques.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field is required.
• Some professional experience in light microscopy is preferred.
• Experience with super-resolution imaging and single molecule fluorescence is highly desirable.
• MINFLUX data acquisition experience is a plus.
• Strong background in quantitative biology and biophysical methods is valued.
• Experience with particle tracking and image analysis is advantageous.
• Comfort with programming and computational tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Collect data on the MINFLUX 3D microscope.
• Assist users with experimental design, sample prep, and data analysis.
• Provide occasional support with Luminosa microscope.
• Interface with diverse scientists to enable meaningful results.
