Position Summary

Assistant Research Scientist in CCRC’s National Glycoscience Resources Laboratory. The role focuses on developing new tools and methods for the structural characterization of glycoproteins and polysaccharides using mass spectrometry, HPLC, HPAEC, and NMR techniques, and on publishing results and securing independent funding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and develop novel analytical tools for the structural characterization of glycoconjugates.
• Write and edit manuscripts and review peer‑reviewer activity to increase publication output.
• Supervise laboratory technicians, postdocs and research professionals, including collaborative projects with external investigators.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on experimental data for manuscripts and internal documentation.
• Review reports from laboratory members for accuracy and quality prior to publication.
• Teach and organize hands‑on and virtual training courses on glycoconjugates for universities, research institutes, and government agencies.
• Assist in organizing workshops and tutorials on glycoscience topics.
• Develop and submit proposals to acquire independent funding for research activities and training programs.
