**Job Description: Assistant Research Professor, Non-Tenure Track Faculty - Jennifer Elisseeff Lab**

**Position Overview**

The laboratory of Dr. Jennifer Elisseeff in the Translational Tissue Engineering Center at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine is seeking a highly-motivated Assistant Research Professor to play a key role in advancing our research initiatives in immune-focused tissue engineering and regenerative immunotherapies. You will become a key member of a supportive, values-based research team within a cutting-edge, collaborative, and multidisciplinary research center. The candidate will be responsible for conducting independent research, overseeing projects, and collaborating with lab members to contribute to the lab's ongoing work and objectives. This is a non-tenure track faculty position intended for those with a commitment to research excellence and a strong foundation in translational research.

**Primary Responsibilities**

- Design, conduct, and analyze experiments related to tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, with a focus on biomaterials and immune system interactions.

- Be a scientific and management partner with the PI

- Develop project plans and manage project timelines to ensure alignment with lab goals and funding objectives.

- Collaborate with lab members, faculty, and external partners to drive multidisciplinary research efforts and achieve shared objectives.

- Supervise and mentor junior lab members, providing training in techniques, analysis methods, and scientific writing.

- Prepare, publish, and present research findings at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.

- Contribute to grant writing and proposal development to secure funding for ongoing and future research projects.

- Maintain compliance with laboratory safety and ethical guidelines in all research activities.

- Teach 1 semester course to ChemBE undergraduates.

**Qualifications**

- Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Immunology, Cell Biology, or a related field.

- Strong research background in tissue engineering, biomaterials, immunology, or regenerative medicine.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead projects from conception through completion.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

- Experience in grant writing and a proven publication record in high-impact journals is preferred.
