Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Assistant Director of Rehab in Lanham, MD to support successful operations of a rehab location. You will supervise therapists and assistants, deliver patient care, and help ensure adherence to evidence-based standards for quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes licensure, Medicare billing knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to manage staff and make independent decisions in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a rehabilitation discipline is required; Master's degree preferred.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum 3 years' direct patient care and 1 year management experience in rehab preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing a team of therapists and assistants (including staff and contract labor).
• Provide direct patient care (up to 50% or more depending on location).
• Monitor clinical service standards for evidence-based care and regulatory compliance.
• Assist staff in removing barriers to treatment and provide clinical education.
• Cover Director of Rehab duties in their absence.
