POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State Abington's Academic Affairs department is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Assistant Registrar for its busy Registrar's office. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures while supporting students, faculty, and staff in all aspects of academic records management. This position is primarily responsible for the publishing and assignment of instructional spaces of each semester's schedule for the Abington campus in coordination with the Academic Divisions. In addition, the position has oversight of reservations for events in academic spaces and is responsible for troubleshooting registration issues, special registration scenarios, and prerequisite reviews.

  • Oversee registration and scheduling activities for the campus, working closely with Academic Divisions, Advising, and the Registrar to implement necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with the campus community to review and approve non-section events in academic spaces using 25Live, troubleshooting issues as needed in consultation with other lead users.
  • Manage special registration processes, including re-enrollments, non-degree student requests, internships, special topics courses, and prerequisite overrides.
  • Assist in generating reports through iTwo in response to requests from campus constituents, working in coordination with the Registrar.
  • Support office-sponsored events such as Commencement, Graduation Fair, and registration sessions, ensuring smooth logistics and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of academic policies, procedures, and student records management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in student information systems and database management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $38,300.00 - $55,500.00.
