This role offers a salary up to $8,415.00 monthly. The position supports a flexible hybrid work environment with the option to telework up to two days per week. Comprehensive benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the District Policy Lead and Liaison for new and redirected policies and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to staff on program policies and procedures.
  • Engage with the Regional Leadership Team in short-term and long-term strategic planning.
  • Conduct strategic analyses and communicate findings to senior management.
  • Manage fieldwork activities, including site visits and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in fisheries, wildlife management, natural resource science, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in fish management, wildlife management, or habitat management.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in environmental or natural resource fields.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage sensitive issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skill in supervising and coaching team members.
  • Experience applying negotiation and conflict resolution skills in challenging environments.
  • Understanding of regulatory processes such as the Hydraulic Code and Growth Management Act.
  • Familiarity with environmental permit compliance and monitoring.
  • Proven ability to lead consensus-building initiatives.
