Job summary

St. Thomas Episcopal Church and School in San Antonio, Texas is seeking an ordained Episcopal priest to serve as Assistant Rector.

This leadership role works closely with the Rector to support the church's vision, mission, and vitality while overseeing staff, ministry programs, and parish life. The Assistant Rector will provide strategic leadership for Youth, Children, and Family Ministries; participate fully in worship, preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and sacramental ministries; and

Qualifications

• Priest ordained in the Episcopal Church.
• Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from an accredited seminary.
• Satisfactory completion of Safeguarding God's Children training and background check.

• Provide strategic leadership for Youth, Children, and Family Ministries; participate in worship, preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and sacramental ministries.
• Oversee staff, ministry programs, and parish life; collaborate with staff and Vestry to strengthen the life of the congregation.
