Job summary

Saft America, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Quality Manager to drive process and product quality across design and manufacturing. You will advance robust quality systems, validate processes, and guide staff in the absence of the Quality Manager.

The role collaborates with all site departments to maximize customer satisfaction and continuously improve KPI performance. The position requires a Bachelor's degree, CQE/CQM, 7+ years in manufacturing quality leadership, and strong data analysis,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CQE/CQM certification preferred.
• 7+ years in quality assurance/control or similar leadership in manufacturing.
• Aviation industry experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Strong data analysis and statistical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Build a teamwork culture to improve processes beyond numbers.
• Collaborate with site staff to continuously improve processes and KPIs.
• Train and coach staff in problem-solving tools and audits (LPA's).
• Communicate customer requirements and assist in claims resolution.
• Interface with agencies to support the Quality department.
• Monitor supplier performance and review quality plans/audits.
• Maintain and improve product quality via audits and investigations.

All About You

The Assistant Quality Manager supports process and product quality in all aspects of the design and manufacturing activities. Assists in the development of robust quality systems by validating processes, providing documentation and auditing systems. Guides staff in absence of the Quality Manager. Supports the team to maximize customer satisfaction, improve supplier quality, and minimize quality costs/waste. Collaborates with all site departments to achieve KPI's and continuously improve the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree
• CQE, CQM or similar certification
• 7 years quality assurance/control or similar leadership experience in manufacturing setting
• Aviation industry experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Data analysis and statistical aptitude.
• Good people skills.
• Highly conscientious and diligent.

Responsibilities

• Build a teamwork culture that encourages employees to look beyond numbers to improve actual processes.
• Collaborate with site staff to continuously improve all processes, meeting or exceeding KPI's.
• Facilitate the training and coaching of all site staff to use problem-solving tools. Guide the use of LPA's and Internal Audits.
• Communicate customer requirements and expectations .Assist is resolution of claims.
• Interface with various agencies to support the Quality department.
• Collaborate with purchasing staff to monitor supplier performance; assessing supplier product specification and quality plans/supplier audits.
• Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits. investigate customer complaints.
