Job summary

The Lee Company, a global leader in precision fluid control, seeks an Assistant Quality Assurance Engineer to drive quality improvements across products and processes. You will support QMS, perform 8D actions, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent with 3+ years in quality engineering.
• Proficient in statistical process control (SPC).
• Apply engineering principles to support design and production of goods and services.
• Use mathematical principles to analyze and solve problems.
• Know engineering drawing techniques, blueprints and models.
• Review and manage first articles to ensure customer specs and standards.
• Know RCCA methodologies, APQP processes, SPC techniques, and Gage R&R studies.

Responsibilities

• Work with industry standards/specifications to drive improvement, audit, and control the quality of products.
• Coordinate and implement new methods and systems with manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Oversee day-to-day QMS operations and use SPC to improve product/process quality.
• Support Project Engineering in evaluating returned products and APQP activities.
• Provide technical guidance to purchasing on material procurement and subcontracting.
• Attend management meetings and supply necessary information to support company positions.
• Prepare and maintain records, files, and reports for assignments.
• Stay informed on quality developments through professional societies and publications.
• AQAE duties require attention during tests in production and lab areas.
• Assess customer/regulatory requirements during contract reviews and convert to actionable steps.
• Identify risks and take action to minimize impact and ensure compliance.
